Actually I must say Post # 29 & #30
So first, Color of the Day, yesterday
Its a wonderfully sweet and light shade of Green... And of course, I love it!
Want to see some great green quilts?
Do you like them?
Now let us ask our guest today, Hilary McFarlane from Quilary - Take a peek over the fence...
"This lovely colour GRASS is a soft green with a bit more of a yellow tint to it.
Green is the colour that is most represented in my own stash, so I know that it will happily pair with many other colours. It is such a versatile colour and you can see it everywhere in nature paired with many different coloured flowers, fruits and leaves. It can be quite sophisticated with dark colours, cheery with red for Christmas or a bit funky with brights like orange.
Moda have already put it into their 1930’s palette and you can choose those solids knowing they go well together. If you want to be a bit more adventurous, think about pairing it with some of these solids."

The Color of the Day today is
Bella Solids Black
Black quilts always look beautiful!
They are stunning...
They are dynamic...
The just take your heart away...
Aren't the quilts simple stunning... I forgot about putting captions as I started looking at them!
LOL
I love this color immensely... And at any given time, you can find at least 3 yards of it in my sewing room! (Except when I need it for a project! I need to run out of it a bit too often). Half the tunics that I own are black! (and I swear, it has nothing to do with black makes you look thin thing!)
I'm working on the DR Suess Quilt for kiddo, and I'll be using black to frame the blocks to give it a comic book effect! More on it next month!
I'm happy that I get to pick co-ordinates for this wonderful color!
I'm going to pick a bundle that you can use in a single quilt together!
I'm going to show you what I am working with
I'm picking
Bella Solids Red , Bella Solids Bright Sky & Bella Solids Yellow
paired with
The Cat in the Hat Celebration Quilt Panel
and
The Cat in the Hat Red Fish , The Cat in the Hat Celebration Thing 1 & Thing 2 & The Cat in the Hat Celebration Yellow Messy Room
What do you think? I think it'll make a wonderful quilt for my little boy!
I'll write a pattern for it if I get 3 comments saying they want it!
Now on to what Rachel has picked for us!
Bella Solids Betty Teal , Bella Solids Peach & Bella Solids Gray
paired with
Artful Home Teal Tonal Darling Dots , Modern Affair Mango Flower Blast & Shades of Grey Ragg Tagg
