XXXX: Decorative Stitches & Embellishments
Quilting has taken a whole new meaning than just putting three layers together and stitching them.
Now we all want our quilts to stand out. And we can do that by using Decorative Stitches and Embellishments.

If your sewing machine came with those fun stitches, go ahead, use them for your quilting!
Here are a few examples
Hand Decorative Stitches
Nothing beats a quilt thats embellished with some hand stitching. Just a simple running stitch can do wonders to the appearance of the quilt.
There are a lot of stitches that you can use as embellishments in your quilts to give them the "wow" factor. Here are a few of them.
Feather Stitch
Closed Feather Stitch
Coral Stitch
Chain Stitch
Pekinese Stitch
Cretan Stitch
Satin Stitch Couching
There are thousands of more stitches to show you, but maybe they'll take up a series of posts in themselves.
Embellishments
There are other ways of making your quilt pop too...
You could add some Shisha Work to it.
Or you could have some fabulous ribbon embroidery!
You could even try some Goldwork
or some bead work.
Those who can crochet can also add a crochet edge to your quilt binding and it'll just pop!
If you are not sure about your embroidering skills, use those buttons in a fun way to create interest and add spice!
You can also use felt to embellish your quilt!
Just let your imagination run wild and you'll surely produce a masterpiece!
Cheers!!!
