The Holiday Lane Pillow Blog Hop
I was originally scheduled last week, but while I was away I realized that the pictures I had inserted were not uploading!
I finally got around clicking more pictures of my pillow today!
I love the pattern by Jill Finley,
But I decided I'd modify it to make it into a Diwali Pillow since I'm from India!
So here's my Diwali themed Holiday Lane Pillow!
Can you see all the lovely ladies in all the windows!
I have lanterns and fireworks!
I modified the size of the pillow and the styles of the houses too, because (1) I did not have a pillow insert of that size and (2) because I wanted to make it more Indian!...
Here are the details
House # 1 : Check the shingles and the lantern! I'm in love with this lantern and the 3d effect!

I love the doily style lantern...

This may be more obvious to me as my daughter's kindergarden teacher predicted she'd be an architect due to her attention to detail, love of pattern and other traits she exhibited! Fast forward 25 years and she's a kitchen/bath designer that eventually wants to design homes-go figure! As a retired Home Economics teacher who also taught elementary school, I see so many people from a variety of disciplines eventually get into quilting as it appeals to such a wide range of interests.
