Know thy Machine : Post # 11 : Alyce

Today's guest on our blog hop is Alyce from Blossom Heart Quilts

This is what she says about her quilting.  I couldn't have said it better : "Quilting is my escape. It's the last thing I think of before falling asleep; it's the most exciting part of my day. It's my cool breeze on a hot and sticky summer's day and my shelter from the storm. I always have at least a handful of projects on the go in my mind at all times."

A self-proclaimed Kate Spain-aholic, she has created some stunning quilts and has also been featured in our favorite e-zine : Fat Quarterly

Hop over to see what she has to say about her machine.

Coming to today's question :

What does Kelly love most about her machine?

a) It is lightweight and easy to transport
b) It has lots of memories associated to it
c) It has a self threading function

Leave a comment with the correct answer ON THIS POST.

Winner will be drawn on Monday 5th November 2012 at 10.00 am IST.

  6. It has a self-threading function. I know what she means. I think those holes in the needles get smaller every time I put in a new one. This is so much fun. I am learning all sorts of stuff about machines and what to look for when I want my next one.

  7. Kelly loves that her machine is easy to thread, so the answer is "c".

  8. It has a self threading option. This may seem ridiculous to some, but I don't use my self threading option. I thread the needle myself. Likewise with the thread cutter on the side.

  31. She loves the self threading function. This makes me envious, as my self-threader broke, and I can't figure out how to fix it! It's mechanical, so it should just go back together like a puzzle... I'm not giving up yet...

  32. The self-threading function. I wouldn't be able to sew without one. I'd never get the needle threaded!
