A Scrappy Giveaway!!!

I gave you a glimpse of my 'neat' pile of Fabric a few days back... To get here, I had to purge my Stash a lot... I downsized it to 25% of what it was... Do you think I do not save my scraps???

Of course I do... What quilter wouldn't? I currently have two bins full of scraps... One is filled with squarish pieces and the other is for strips... I will sort it by color some day, but that wont be so soon... I have to finish the work in my sewing room first...

I am happy that Jodi from Pleasant Home is having a Sew Scraps Along event on her blog... And I'm so proud to be joining the fun...

I"m giving away some scraps too... Here's my pile...

Yes, the brocade piece that you see is included in the Giveaway...

The grid behind is in cms. That will give you an idea of the size of the piece...

The pile also includes this...

So neat!!! Most of these are Quilting quality fabrics... There are a few voile pieces... But 'very' few...

How do you enter??? No jumping through hoops... Just leave a comment here telling me which of my quilts / works you liked from the list in my Right side banner... Only one comment per person... I'll draw a winner on the 15th of October... That was an oops moment... Its November 15th... LOL... Thanks WvHmmngbrd...

Have fun!!!

Cheers!!!

P.S. Right now I'm away... At Satara enjoying a few days with my family... I will be joined by hubby dear on friday and then we'll be heading onto our long awaited trip... Will be in touch till Friday.. There's a lot to tell, and to show too... A whole series of posts about Diwali... I admit, I have been away... I was really busy... Helping hubby in the shop... I spent the last week like a zombie... Woke up at 4 AM! Cleaned, washed, mopped, cooked and then got ready and went to the shop at 10... Came back super tired at 9.30 pm... Cooked dinner and went to bed at 11 pm! Hubby was doing ditto (except the waking up at 4 am part...) It was hectic but it paid off well... We sold more than 50 laptops in the last 5 days!!! So I deserve a holiday... :) And I'll enjoy it while you leave your comments here... Cheers again...

  11. I am awe struck with all you do. I teach and am so busy that the "Bee in Oz" will be plenty along with school and choir, husband and various pets.
My hat is off to you.

I have to say, though, that I love the simplicity of the Blue star quilt. Probably because I had the same problem growing up!

  36. Scraps?!? I can always use scraps either in the plethora of scrappy paper pieing projects I have going or to make a lovely quilt for a wee at risk baby via http://danettesangels.tripod.com I send at least 4 boxes of sweep tiny baby goodies per year and scrap would help fill up another box of preemie and newborn lovies!

I can't believe your scraps that you are offering in this giveaway. Honestly, this is so very thoughtful and generous. I am gladly working from my stash of mostly tone on tone fabrics, but I'll admit that I am craving other prints and colors that are not in my drawers. The fabric shops call me, but I'm trying to stay away....I'd love to win your scraps!
    Thanks very much.

I am Brazilian living in Alaska, I love to make toys and quilt for kids in the hospital, also I make baby hats and crochet squares for donation.
The problem is the economic situation does not help us keep our projects up, it's not everyone can afford to pay bills and buy fabric, specially nice ones. :(
Anyway...I will be soooo happy if I am the lucky one. Fingers crossed :D
