Know Thy Machine : Post # 6 : Vicki

Today's guest is a Facebook co-group-member of mine!

We are together in the Modern Quilting group that started and that is whn I noticed her work!

This lady is great with FMQ!  She had a Focus on Free Motion Quilting series earlier this year...

When Sara's friend loaned her a sewing machine:

a) She used it to teach kids how to sew
b) It nearly set her house on fire
c) She loved it so much she didn't want to give it back

  11. It nearly set her house on fire. Scary! Good thing they were both right there. I have night mares that my sewing room would burn and I could never get enough money from the insurance to replace my stash and all my sewing toys.

  28. B...it nearly set her house on fire! That could be scary! (My dad lost his home to an electric blanket fire almost 15 years ago) I try to remember to always unplug my machine...of course, I'm not sure what good that does considering we have some many other things that are constantly plugged in :-/

  36. I nearly set her house on fire! I've heard of kettles, toasters and coffee pots doing this--things that are designed to produce heat, but I've never heard of it happening with a sewing machine.
