Bella Parade '13 : Post # 28 & 29

Yeah you read that right. Its a double post today. I have been having internet issues. And have to end the parade with a double post!!!

Yay!!!

The last color that we did was Sprout

Bella Solids Sprout Yardage SKU# 9900-267

Here are the two colors today

The first

Hints :
1. I am an orange-colored citrus fruit which is closely related to the mandarin orange.
2. I also am a place in Orange County, Florida, a submarine telecommunications cable system, a 1997 novel by Edward Bloor, a DAAP music server, an early microcomputer manufacturer, a British confectionery company and a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics.
3. _ A _ _ E _ I _ E

Here's color # 2

I am a two words name. Here are the hints :
 1. The first word means "tan-colored", from Anglo-Norman tauné "associated with the brownish-yellow of tanned leather", from Old French tané "to tan hides", from Medieval Latin tannare, from tannum "crushed oak bark", used in tanning leather, probably from a Celtic source (e.g. Breton tann, "oak tree"). The second word is one we have visited before in this series!!! Think Mediterranean.
2. The first word also refers to a strong aged wine, a feminine given name and  a 1954 record album by Jackie Gleason.
3. _ A W _ Y                 O _ _ V _

Here are the monochromatic schemes for both.

I combined color # 1 with Bubblegum and Kansas Red

Bella Solids Bubble Gum Yardage SKU# 9900-88
Bella Solids Kansas Red Yardage SKU# 9900-150

For color # 2, I used Porcelain and Fir

Bella Solids Porcelain Yardage SKU# 9900-182

Bella Solids Fir Yardage SKU# 9900-278

And here are the complementary schemes

I combined Color # 1 with Bright Turquoise.

Bella Solids Bright Turquoise Yardage SKU# 9900-226

And color # 2 with Horizon Blue

Bella Solids Horizon Blue Yardage SKU# 9900-111

For the creative scheme, I chose to go professional with Color # 1
I used it with Zen Grey and Steel

Bella Solids Zen Grey Yardage SKU# 9900-185
Bella Solids Steel Yardage SKU# 9900-184

For Color # 2, I went elegant and combined it with Feather and Yellow

Bella Solids Feather Yardage SKU# 9900-127

Bella Solids Yellow Yardage SKU# 9900-24

And now time for the prints.

Here are my top 10 choices or Color # 1

Once again, I am posting only the pictures and you can find it through the search or "Shop by Collection" feature on Fat Quarter Shop

  1. And, # 1 is...I think Tangerine--not Tangarine. Is that correct? (Unless I'm totally missing the right color!) Although when I compare the two, it looks a little off..sigh... :p
